What this tool calculates
Voltage Converter is designed to give a direct answer from the values entered above. The main inputs on this page are From, To, Value, Result. The result is intended to be readable immediately, with the explanation below available when you need to verify the method.
Method and calculation basis
The tool applies calendar or elapsed-time arithmetic to the entered dates/times. Calendar month and year operations must handle different month lengths and leap years rather than assuming every month has a fixed number of days.
Worked examples
Month-end arithmetic
31 January + 1 calendar month clamps to the valid final day of February.
Leap year
2024 contains 29 February; 2100 does not because century years must also be divisible by 400.
Understanding the result
The output should be read in the units shown beside the result. If you are comparing alternatives, keep all unchanged assumptions identical and alter one input at a time. That makes it easier to see which value is responsible for the difference.
Assumptions, edge cases and accuracy
Time zones, daylight-saving transitions and local holidays can change calendar results. Check the zone and holiday assumptions when they matter.
